I may have a shoe obsession!

I have a confession to make…I LOVE SHOES!!!

I am not sure exactly when this obsession started, but I have to give some credit to my grandma. When I was much younger, maybe 11 or 12 my grandma took my sister, mom, and I to her friends’ house and the one part I remember my grandma being so excited about was this woman’s shoe collection. For an older lady she had hundreds of shoes and I loved it!

Someone recently asked on Facebook, “How many pairs of shoes do you own?” I am ashamed proud to admit that I own 48 pairs of shoes. My closet is sort of a mess of shoes.

I pulled out just the gym shoes and I have 12 pair. I realized there were 5 pair I haven’t worn in a long time, so they are going to Goodwill.

You may ask yourself why do possibly need so many shoes. The answer is simple. An any given day I easily wear 3 different shoes. 1 pair to workout in the morning, 1 pair to work (I am a PE teacher), and 1 pair to run in. I have as many as 3 different shoes to run in, some for short runs, others for long runs. Then I also need some flip flops for those trips to Disney or every day of the summer. And occasionally I wear something a little fancier.

My daughter gets upset when I buy a new pair, but I remind her that someday we will wear the same size and we can share!

Since I am purging my closet of 5 pairs of shoes. It is time to look for a new pair or two to take their place. These are what I would like to get in the near future.

This first pair is a MUST! I have almost 300 hundred miles on my current pair of Brooks Glycerins and I love them. A new color is in order.

This pair of Skechers is also to replace my Skechers GoRun Rides. I never would have thought to wear Skechers for anything let alone a run, but theses are so lightweight and are a great option for shorter runs.

This pair of New Balance 711’s would be for working out. I usually don’t love New Balance, but I love the look of these.

Last, but not least, a pair to wear to work or just with some jeans.

I am not really going to buy all theses, but A GIRL CAN DREAM!
