I keep hearing about dry shampoo and I finally bought some. I wasn’t sure how I would feel about not washing my hair, I am kind of a fanatic about that especially after working out. Many days though, I take two showers so I feel like my hair needs a break every once in a while. I bought this the other day at Target and decided to give it a try.
I had washed my hair last night and only did a 1 mile run and a 1 mile this walk this morning so I thought it was the perfect opportunity. It smells fabulous and it gave my hair lots of body and it still looks great tonight. My hair doesn’t feel greasy or dirty.
Lately I have had to do some treadmill runs due to the weather. The gym I belong to has a cardio theater which is great entertainment if the movie is decent. I love when there is a movie playing that I know, especially a comedy. The other day it was Caddy Shack and I actually laughed out loud a few times.
Three day weekend!!! I am a teacher and we have school off on Monday in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. We don’t have any big plans, but I am looking forward to a day off.
Finding a great race to run. I just signed up to run the Flying Pig Marathon on May 3rd and I am so excited!
1.06 mile run (day 9 of run streak)
5 push-ups and 5 crunches ( I am trying to do push-ups and crunches for the day of the year)
Slept in for a snow day
3.01 mile run in the snow. It was a slow run, but very pretty
Power Pump class! Love this class and don’t usually get there, but I could today because of the snow day 🙂
4.91 mile run (it was 5 according to the treadmill, but my iphone went crazy)
3.08 mile run on the treadmill (-3 outside)
Power Pump again :), no school due to the cold!
1.1 mile run for run streak
5.27 mile run on the treadmill -5 again 😦
40 push-ups and 40 crunches (I forgot the last few days)
9 mile run outside. It was finally warm enough (24 degrees)
11 push-ups and 11 crunches
So 1 year ago today I ran my first marathon at Walt Disney World as part of the Goofy Challenge. My husband and I decided to run the Goofy Challenge (half marathon on Saturday and a marathon on Sunday) a total of 39.3 miles since we were turning 40 in 2014. What better way to celebrate the big 40 right?!?!?!
I have been wanting to start a blog for some time now. Every time I think about it I end up reading more blogs instead of trying to start my own. Sometimes it’s not easy to step outside of your comfort zone. Tonight after a little liquid courage I decided this is the right time. I am hoping to entice those who like to run, have a LOVE for Disney and love to DREAM BIG!
