Sunrises!!!!

Nothing can top a beautiful sunrise to start the day. This week I saw a few beautiful sunrises with pink skies. I didn’t take any pictures as I was driving, but here is one I found.

Running in the snow

I am not a fan of cold weather, give me an 85 degree any day. I do however love snow. We have not had much snow this winter, but we are expecting possibly 6+ inches on Sunday!!!! We did have a little snow the other day and I love to go and run when it is snowing. It is such a peaceful time. I didn’t get to run while it was actually snowing, but I ran later in the day and enjoyed the beauty of it all.

Carry-in lunches at work

About once a month we have a carry-in at lunch with a theme. Today’s theme was Souper Bowl. There were about 10 different soups, as well as salads, sandwiches, and desserts. YUM! I forgot to take a picture of the whole spread, but here are the cookies I contributed, oatmeal craisin white chocolate chip.

Yogurt parfait

I had this delicious yogurt parfait today for breakfast and it may be my new go to breakfast. Easy to make and healthy. I started with some Greek yogurt, granola, blueberries, strawberries. And then I added another layer of the same and a drizzle of honey.

DOWNTON ABBEY
Mu husband and I have recently started watching Downton Abbey and we are hooked. We were able to start with season 1 thanks to our Amazon Fire stick. After watching an episode I always want to watch just one more because they leave you hanging!

I keep hearing about dry shampoo and I finally bought some. I wasn’t sure how I would feel about not washing my hair, I am kind of a fanatic about that especially after working out. Many days though, I take two showers so I feel like my hair needs a break every once in a while. I bought this the other day at Target and decided to give it a try.

I had washed my hair last night and only did a 1 mile run and a 1 mile this walk this morning so I thought it was the perfect opportunity. It smells fabulous and it gave my hair lots of body and it still looks great tonight. My hair doesn’t feel greasy or dirty.

Lately I have had to do some treadmill runs due to the weather. The gym I belong to has a cardio theater which is great entertainment if the movie is decent. I love when there is a movie playing that I know, especially a comedy. The other day it was Caddy Shack and I actually laughed out loud a few times.

Three day weekend!!! I am a teacher and we have school off on Monday in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. We don’t have any big plans, but I am looking forward to a day off.

Monday

5 push-ups and 5 crunches ( I am trying to do push-ups and crunches for the day of the year)

Tuesday
Slept in for a snow day
3.01 mile run in the snow. It was a slow run, but very pretty
Power Pump class! Love this class and don’t usually get there, but I could today because of the snow day 🙂

Wednesday
Tabata class
4.91 mile run (it was 5 according to the treadmill, but my iphone went crazy)

Thursday
3.08 mile run on the treadmill (-3 outside)
Power Pump again :), no school due to the cold!

Friday
1.1 mile run for run streak

5.27 mile run on the treadmill -5 again 😦
40 push-ups and 40 crunches (I forgot the last few days)

9 mile run outside. It was finally warm enough (24 degrees)
